From time to time, the Blessed Margaret of Castello Chapter sponsors a Colloquium (or Conference) on a certain yet current and relevant subject. For instance, in 2015, the Chapter sponsored a Colloquium on the Social Doctrine of the Catholic Church. Please see below the years and subject matter of each Colloquium held to date. Also, where available, under the particular Colloquium on related documents.
The St. Margaret of Castello Chapter is sponsoring it 6th COLLOQUIUM or discussion, for Saturday, October 16, 2021 at 9:00 a.m., at St. Paul’s Catholic Student Center, 1915 University Avenue, on the Boise State University campus.
With Jordan Peterson as an inspiration, the Colloquium takes a look at the challenges of life, and poses the question of whether you may discover the truth of Almighty God’s existence through the study of natural philosophy and science.
Christ is God, and He died on the Cross for our sin, not only to redeem us for an eternity, but to also show us how, in grace, to conquer our weaknesses, overcome horrible habits and depraved appetites and longings, and surmount our mistakes. As Christians, we are told to pick up our Cross, embrace it as Christ did and walk in victory through the troubles of life.
Yet, what about the Nones, or those of little faith; and what about this age that acts like there is no God? We can see it over and over again in people’s lives.
What happens to those who do not believe, yet face life’s difficulties, sickness, mistakes, disease, and calamities of lie? It is the purpose here to show the Nones and those of little faith, that God does care and the He does truly live.
What about the poorly catechized over the last generation or have lost their faith? How can the Colloquium help them? Also, does the natural law matter, and the natural sciences?
JOIN THE CHAPTER AT ITS COLLOQUIUM, at St. Paul’s Catholic Study Center on the Boise State Campus, October 16th, 2021 at 9:00 o’clock a.m.
