The (1999) "Index ac Status Causarum", published by the Vatican Congregation
of Causes of Saints indicates that Margaret of Castello, was a Virgin of the
Third Order of Saint Dominic. She was born in Metola, 1287; died in Castello,
April 13 1320.Initially, the local town "Citta dei Castelli" put forth her cause for
Canonization. She was Beatified by Pope Paul V on October 19, 1609. A
Decree of the Sacred Roman Congregation of Causes of Saints was issued on
the same date. This is found in the Bullarium Ordinis Praedicatorum, Volume
